PLEASE help me someone

Hi

Sorry - I did post this yesterday but received no replies, I really need some help.

We have had nothing but trouble from the CSA since we took residency of our grandson in 2002 trying to get regular maintenance from both the NRP's.

At present we do get maintenance from the non resident father, although I have to chase that up every month because the employer fails to send it in on time, this is dispite the inspector visiting the employer on at least 3 seperate occassions, they just ignore and send the payments when they get round to it, they have told the inspector that getting the money to the CSA is not a priority.

Our main concern is that I informed the CSA at the beginning of Sept 09 with new info on our daughter, I gave them her new employment details, place, phone number, address, uniform details, you name it, I supplied it. It was confirmed that our daughter was still claiming DWP benefits for the next few weeks, and nothing was showing about her employment apart from the details I had provided.

I seemed to be dealing with a very nice person (for a change) at the CSA and he confirmed to me that he had done all the neccessary paperwork to save time, so that when it went down to the assessment team all the hard work had been done for them, all they had to do was implement it, he had even walked down the paperwork to the department himself so he knew they had it as he cold see from our file that we had not had any luck with regards the CSA getting us regular payments from either NRP since our claim started in 2002.

However after all this time I have still not received anything saying how much we should receive, I have not had any payments since Sept 09 and since before xmas they have told me she nolonger works there, which is not true, she is still working there as she comes to collect her son in her uniform and when I have phoned her mobile a couple of times she has infact been on duty at work.

I am now banging my head against the wall and sick to death of the CSA failings again on our case, where can I go and what can I do to get this sorted.

The CSA response is dont worry you will get the arrears, well that doesnt wash as we are still waiting for other outstanding arrears which they have a liabilty order for and and we still havent had those!!!

Please help me out.

    Hi,

Have you tried asking your local MP for help?
    A fairer CSA for all

Next time she shows up to pick up her child for a visit, take a lovely photograph of Mum and child, mum of course, in full work uniform. Send that off to the CSA. Who is saying she no longer works there - the employer or the CSA?
Your grandchild is very lucky to have caring grandparents to provide a loving home for him - his story could be alot different.

Yes we have been to the MP numerous times regarding several issues with the CSA since 2002, however he gets the same runaround as we get. He has passed our last complaints back to ICE last year after sending us there previously and the CSA still have not resolved those issues and implemented what ICE told them to do initially.

It does look like we will have to pay him another visist though.

    Thank you for your reply

The CSA are telling s that its the employer stating that she no-longer works there, however, if its our daughter answering the phone at the work place, she is likely say that, she will do everything to avoid contact with the CSA, she ignores letters that have been sent to her from the CSA and refuse to answer her mobile as she knows there phone number, she's even changed her number so they cant phone her, then has the nerve to tell us that CSA never contact her. I know shes had the letters because I've seen them previously at her home and been there when the CSA called her old number and she said it was them, but refused to answer.

You need to ask for the case to be referred for an employer visit. No sorry, DEMAND that it gets referred as you know she works there as she wears her uniform. Take pictures and send them in as evidence.

I guess it's too late to give your daughter a well overdue slap!

Assuming you have a court order granting you custody of your grandson, is there is anything that the courts can do to help your situation?

through reading many and varied posts it seems that the CSA are reluctant in chasing arrears and payments from females (my opinion). there maybe many reasons for this such as flexible working conditions, poor pay, and unpredicability, unreliability, unknown whereabouts. costs at chasing up females who maybe there one day and gone the next a female may leave a job at the drop of a hat, so to speak - i would if my child needed me.

never the less it is unfair and i would persue this issue as far as you can, you undoubtably still have a relationship with your daughter although how honest this is is dubious due to your narration.

In my opinion the CSA fail where arrears and payments are due from females, the only way to solve these issues is perserverance

excuse spelling errors - no spell checker :)

It makes no difference if they are male or female - if she is being paid off the record it is the same as if a man were doing it - it makes it difficult for them to enforce. It depends on the caseworker's load and willingness to refer. They may have been told not to refer new cases as criminal compliance may be inundated - it has happened before. Not the OP's problem, but one which needs to be fought against if that is the case.

Jacklink - can you please explain this comment:

Am I correct in thinking you do not beleive me?

My OH and myself do have a relationship with our daughter, however on our daughters part this only exists because we have her son. She has made it very clear that she wants nothing to do with us, this is not because we have residency of her son, its to do with families issues regarding her partner and his family.

We do have residency of our GS through the courts.

Our DD's attitude is that we bring up her some, so why should she pay towards it, it wouldn't be to bad if she contributed in other ways ie to bt the odd pair of shoes or contribute to school trips, but there is absolutely nothing from her. She has made it perfectly clear that she will not pay anything, then she has the check to ask if she can take him on holiday!! This was refused because she wants to take him out of school instead of going on holiday when he is off, she is not restricted on when she can take holiday, she's allowed to take it anytime.

She has been working since Aug 09 with this employer, and since we have had her son she has had ELEVEN different employers, 2 of these employers she has been back to twice. The CSA have NEVER managed to collect any payments from her employers this is dispite my OH and myself giving them all the info they require, at the end of the day I am not paid to do the CSA job for them yet I am doing all the leg work and running round and still not getting any payment for my GS.
