what's a reasonable % off price from a Used Car Dealer? BMW 318i..
Looking to purchase a used 318i/320i from a bmw dealer...
A few years old, around 30,000 miles on the clock. Prices are around 14k-15k at bmw approved dealers.
I've read mse's guide to haggling... but have to say that i'm rubbish at it!
The dealer's always start by asking me which price *I* think is best, or am willing to settle at. When I try and turn it around.. it never works! And I always wonder if I could have gotten more off..
Does anyone know what a reasonable discount or price to aim for is?

Who knows; unless you know your market you won't know wjhat a good price is. You need to do more research before entering discussions.
If the guy was asking £10k and after haggling you bought it for £5k have you got a good deal? You probably think you have until you find the next guy is selling it for £4k but won't haggle.

I'd start off by searching the BMW network nationally for similar specced cars - that will give you a benchmark price - depending on what you mean by a 'few years' the price seems a little high to me - I paid £16.5K for a 330d that was 3 years old last March. Having said that, average prices do seem to have moved up a bit over the last year.
Check out the car supermarkets as well, that will give you a bottom range price that you can aim for - remember though that at most of these, you would have to pay extra for a warranty that won't be as good as the BMW included in the price
