I appear to have cocked up LOL
I signed up to the recent unlimited broadband & sky talk (calls only) deal
Rang BT to change from my unlimited anytime plan onto line rental alone -only to be told I can't til September!
Apparently renewable contract means they renew it automatically - not that I have to renew it
I've never heard of that before - all my previous 12 month contract deals have been just that - 12 months!
Anyhow....
trying to workout my best solution to the problem
If I dial a prefix (1280) my calls go through BT instead of sky?
So will they be covered by my anytime plan (ie free) ??
And is there a minimum number of calls I have to make with Sky??
Hope this makes sense

If you have Sky talk you cant use 1280 to make calls though BT.
You should have had a letter from BT to remind you the contract for the anytime plan was up for renewal 30 days before it renewed , If you didnt get a letter you cant be held to contract.
There is no min call requirement with Sky talk0 -
Thanks
I think I did get a letter - I obviously didn't understand it properly
Whenever I've had 12month contract before ie mobiles - once the 12 months was up I could do whatever I wanted
Oh well so they're gonna get another £40 out of me for calls I can't even make through them
Will be switching my line rental in September too me thinks
PS It was the letter from BT that said dialling a prefix would make the call payable to them0
