I moved into this house Feb last year and have around 2-3 letters/bills/debt collection thing through per day. After months of sending things back I started opening the letters to get phone numbers to call the companies letting them know he had moved out months ago. The previous people left owing thousands.

December last year I got all of his payslips delivered. A couple of weeks ago he knocked on the door saying he had accidently ordered his new credit card to my address and he wanted me to forward it to him. I called his bank and they told me he was still obtaining credit on my address. I've involved his banks fraud dept and the police and they've stopped everything :T

We get mail for about 7 different people to our address. It was also a repossession but we've only been there about 3 months. Anything that had 'urgent', 'final notice' or 'it is in your best interest to respond to this' got opened by me. I think its more important to stop bailiffs coming round than to follow rules about opening other people's post and it turns out most of the previous occupants were decidedly cavalier about paying their bills, one owed united utilities over £1300! How do you even spend that much on water in a flat?
