Balance Transfers with Virgin

My friend recently applied for a virgin CC online, when she applied the application asked if she had a cc, the number of it and the balance on it.
It also asked if she would be interested in a balance transfer.

She received her card a couple of days ago with a letter that explains she has to activate the card and that she has 90 days to complete the balance transfer.

She has checked the balance of her old card to organise the transfer but Virgin have already paid off what she said the balance was when she applied.

Her question As the balance is now a bit higher than when she applied can she still transfer the remainder of the old balance to Virgin still interest free for the 16 months? This will still be within her new credit limit.

thank you

Yes - if she's still within the 90 day transfer window - and the extra amount + balance already transferred is still below 95% of the Virgin credit limit.

The easiest way to do it is online through the Virgin internet banking. There is a page for balance transfers, it's quite easy to find. Make sure you do it through the promotional rate offer though - they are a bit sneaky and leave both the "transfer on your 0% rate" and "transfer on your standard rate" options open on the website.
