hunter herald advice please

we own a hunter herald 14,13 months old but only used for 7.It took a lot of getting used to but we finely managed to a point where we can load it with fuel and leave it for 12 hours.Our problem is the back plate inside the fire is starting to buckle and bend out of shape. Is this normal? and if not will damage the outside of the stove.all advice is welcome please.
