No LHA in account

I know no-one on here can give me a definative answer, but if anyone works in housing benefits your opinions would be most welcome.

I am in private accomodation and recieved LHA, I get this every 2 weeks, it usually shows in my bank account on a friday but the the day I am meant to get it is a monday.

my last payment shows on my statement as being recieved on 4th jan and today I went to withdraw my rent money as i have to pay it in the morning and it wasnt there.

can anyone suggest any reasons why it might suddenly stop?

i have had no letters from the council telling me any changes are being made or that im not going to get a payment, my circumstances have not changed, my bank details havent changed, everything is just the same as it has been so i can not understand why it would just suddenly stop.

does anyone have any ideas?

I got my income support and incapacity payments fine yesterday so i dont think it could have anything to do with that, i realise none of you will know the reason for sure but im getting very worried because i have to pay my rent in the morning and have no cash to pay it with.

any suggestions on why i havent got it?

The next payment then should be 25 Jan if your last one was the 11th as its 2 weeks in arrears. BACs payments are normally authorised on a Wednesday to pay in a Friday to clear for Monday

I`m baffled its due on a monday but usually in account friday,today is weds and you havent queeried this with the council but posted on here???

If its now the 4th Jan that you last received the payment then I suggest you contact the LA to query where the payment is

sorry, no its the 4th of jan I had my last payment, got confused ( very easy for me lol ) because I just been on phone to someone who was talking about something that happened on 11th so I had the date stuck in my head!

I do suggest you contact the LA tomorrow and ask, there may be a simple reason for non payment. Also confirm the bank account and sort code they are using to pay the HB into just in case its gone into cyber space.
As you are ringing late in the week dependant on why the payment is missing you may not get it back until the 1st Feb which is your next normal payment. I know thats not much help when your rent is due but you really should have rung the LA sooner
