That doesn't make any sense: if you're in a Housing Association property there would be no private letting agent involved.
Any way, I have no contacts for reputable mortgage brokers so I cannot help you, I'm afraid0 -
You may not be in debt anymore, but it takes more than just paying your debts to restore your credit record, that will take time mainly.
Get the local phone book, or search on yell.com for Independant mortgage brokers, contact them and ask if they are whole of market, if not try another till you find one that is whole of market.
Visit them and go through what you want and see what they can offer, but if your credit record is shot don't expect good interest rates.
Some people on here may appear rude, but the above advice is already on these forums, so they get a bit p'd off repeating the basics.0 -

I just want to say, that whilst sometimes the advice on here may seem blunt and abrupt, I assure you that a lot of people on here have been at the complete bottom and worked their behinds off to get off the bottom by clearing debts and learning about saving and budgeting, which is why they know how hard it can be to move forward with any sort of debt hanging over you. Believe it or not, they are trying to help you.
You say you have one more payment to make this month then you are debt free? Completely debt free? The 15k is not exactly a gift remember
You may be needed to live a while "maintaining" I don't know.
Have you contacted Abacus? They do a LOT of financial business with the Forces and understand how the forces work. Forces Financial is another you could contact.
I hope it all works out for you, Good luck
Thankful For My LBM
