MSN stopped working

hello my MSN has just stopped working,,can any1 point me in the right direction ,to get it working again,,I am a bit of a technophobe be gentle:),,I am using windows xp

quickest way is re-install it and sign back in, all your contacts will be saved.

no,,some one mentioned something about firewall stopping it?

here, oyu might have to uninstall the old 1 first
