I bought some UGG Boots on ebay described as Tall Classic UGG Boots with the Brand listed as UGG
When I received them they are very obviously fake, too small, not real sheepskin lined, etc,
I emailed the seller to ask to return for a refund
She advised she had bought them herself from an other ebay seller and suspected they were fake but that seller wouldnt accept them back and told her they were genuine.
So she has sold them on to me and points out that she never advertised them as genuine as she couldnt be sure
So I point out that advertising them as tall classic uGG boots with the brand ugg suggests that that is exactly what she is selling...
Unable to resolve I filed a paypal dispute to which she didnt respond
So I escalated to a claim.
Paypal are now asking me to send documentation to support my claim.
So, what do they mean, how do I send it and what are the chances of winning the dispute.
I do have the fake boots and I've already posted her email to me agreeing the boots were probably fakes, so what else do they want and how do I go further with this,
Anyone with similar experience your advice will be appreciated.

Paypal need official evidence. You need to get a letter from a supplier or manufacturer stating that these are fake to upload to Paypal. You have 10 days to do so. If you can't get this evidence you will lose the claim0

No retailers are willing to do this, stating they will not get involved.0

Also why did you buy Uggs on ebay in the first place, it's completely riddled with fakes, if 1% of the Uggs on ebay are genuine, I'd be surprised. And they're completely impractical, and ... well... uglyBack on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

I agree, I can understand why the retailers won't get involved.
I bought them from ebay when my house was inches deep in snow as i wanted them fast. They were sold as genuine. I sell on ebay, i never sell counterfeit goods. They seller was selling one pair only and had 100% feedback.
Genuine uggs are very practical, they are perfect for freezing weather and snow. They last for many years. But yes they are ugly
Thanks for your help, oh hang on............0 -

I've spoke to them, they put me in touch with trading standards, trading standards can't help and told me to go to ebay, ebay put me to paypal, paypal want proof from a retailer....... see how it's going
Anyone else actually experienced a problem like this, with uggs or any other counterfeit item from ebay?0 -

There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0 -
I agree with Dave about ebay & branded goods. Its riddled with fakes. I however DON'T think they are ugly.
HOWEVER your problem might be that uggs as you (& we all) call them, aren't ugg or uggs, but "ugg australia" & ugg itself is a generic term for those type of sheepskin boots.
So she could well argue they are genuine uggs.
What they are not is ugg australia a la coleen & co.0 -

UGG is a registered trademark outside of australia, within australia it is a style of boot. The boots were sold as brand being UGG from a uk seller in a copy of the UGG box with UGG labels and soles as the Brand UGG australia made by decker. So they are counterfit and not just UGG style boots0
