Indoor Begonia Corms

Hi All,

I have recently received some begonia corms that I am planning to use in some hanging baskets. I have been advised to plant each corm in a 3" pot and keep on my windowsill until the last frost. Now, my questions is, do I need to water these whilst they are indoors, or do I water them once they are planted in their permanent place? Also, should I be covering the pots with clingfilm?

Many thanks for your help :)

Thanks for that Flossy - some useful info. But I still don't quite understand if I ned to water the corms whilst they are indoors. I seem to remember someone suggesting covering the tops of the pots with clingfilm, but then does this mean that you don't water them until you plant outside?

    Any help gratefully received :)
  • Hi sammy

    this article has better info

Water the tubers really well, to break their dormancy. Don't water again until you see some growth or the soil is quite dry.
