Needed to go to Glasgow to pick up a car - so looked at flying from Birmingham - but require a passport (part of the small print), as I need to renew that I decided on rail
Birmingham to Glasgow was just over 100 quid - so I decided to see if I could split up the travel by getting a ticket from Tamworth to Liverpool Central - Then another to complete the journey to Glasgow -
Total cost £65 - needed to change trains a few times - but with the single ticket I had to anyway - and also gave me 40 minutes to have a quick walk into Liverpool Clayton Square.
2nd Leg of journey was also booked in at first class - so free complimentart coffee, sandwich and wifi.
£30 for 1st ticket to Liverpool Central
£35 for Advance 1st Class (2nd Ticket) reserved seating to Glasgow << which is what I'm on now having a coffee
Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig
