But not as good as her sausage rolls which are out of this world. Im a meat eater myself, but only eat "good meat" these bridge the gap, no rank gristle or mystery meat, even my OH loves them and he was of the opinon a meal without meat int worth having
Totally agree with that. I'm not veggie anymore, but those sausage rolls are amazing. But not as good as the deep country pie, if they still do that. My god that's a gorgeous pie. And I don't like pie much! They're in the freezer sectionDFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls

Wow, well that's a few ideas to get me going.
I did see the LM sausage rolls so might grab some of them next time I shop. I recognise some of those products from Farm Foods as well.
I am struggling to get past a very bad experieince I had with Quorn many moons ago. (The thought of soya and quorn fills me with dread) I just remember it being foul so the nut bakes, veg grill type things are easing me in.
Keep 'em coming though as I am getting lots of ideas and I think even a few of you have got a few tips along the way.

Not sure if this is exactly what yr looking for but am a big fan of the Realeat vegemince (much nicer than any own-brand stuff and really expands during cooking.) Haven't ever seen it in Asda but I know Tesco do sell it.
Also for a quick sandwich I love the Vegideli non-meat slices, spread with some tomato relish. As well as health food shops, you can buy these from Morrisons.Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

i am a veggie and have been for donkeys years!
my faves are
quorn chicken nuggets
sainsburys 'chicken' kievs
quorn roast is delicious! (i love it with cranberry sauce!)
i use quorn chicken style pieces to make curries, fajitas, in pasta, stir fry and more!
the quorn mince in cottage pies (with a spoon of marmite! mmmm)
for sandwiches i find the best is morrisons 'beef' slices

I am horribly allergic to Quorn, and it came on fairly gradually, until one Christmas Eve... well you don't want to know _pale_ and the doctor wouldn't come out either as he assumed I'd been over-partying.
Anyway, that's just to say that if you have reservations about Quorn then it might be your body trying to tell you something. It is quite well recognised as an allergen so tread carefully at first in case you are one of those susceptible.
All our main meals are veggie as my husband is one. Sainsbury's frozen veggieburgers and hot dogs are great, and Dalepak Cauliflower cheese grills and vegetable quarter pounders. We put nearly everything we eat in rolls or butties, with oven chips and veg or salad. We are on a phase of homemade egg mayo and cress butties at the moment.
Packets of Beanfeast soya mince make a reasonable base for lasagne etc. W aren't very adventurous but we seem to manage a nice veggie meal every night.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

In addition to post by Bogof_Babe.........there are loads of people allergic to Quorn, and if you do a google, there will be horror stories galore.
None of us are allergic to it, but just buy one Quorn item and see how you go at first.
The Swedish type meatballs mentioned by another poster are good for a quick meal, I usually serve with tomato sauce and pasta - or cook and slice and serve in wraps with lots of salady stuff and whatever takes my fancy.
We don't eat a lot of Quorn products, but it is a handy stand by in the freezer, for when you can't be bothered - and was absolutely brilliant when my DD decided to be a veggie, and wouldn't eat vegetables  - don't ask! At least I knew that she was getting protein (and I could hide veggies in home made sauce...........weesht, don't tell her, she still doesn't know that I still do it with some things). :rotfl:0 -
I agree with Researcher, falafel are the best. i really like them too.they are so easy to make in pitta bread and you can also buy falafel dry mix which is quick and easy to make too. you can make them hot and spicy by adding some green chillies or chilli sauce.
Quorn pieces are also very good to cook with.they take the taste of what ever sauce you cook them in.they taste really nice in thai green curry.
Tesco and asda's own meatfree burgers are really good(frozen pack of 8).they are so much like real meat burger.:drool:0
