Basically looking for some help please!
Different people on the phone are telling me different things. I made a claim 2 weeks ago signed on the job center on 11th january my next sign on date is 25th.
Anyways this is where I am confused. I went a course july 2009-september 2009. I had no time off until september I went on holiday for 2 weeks and decided the course wasnt for me so I quit. I have been asked for proof of that I dont get EMA and that I quit the course I recieved the letter on friday stating I had 7 days for that + bank statements.
I rang up the training place on friday they cant send me a letter as they didnt put me in the database due to me having too much time off ? I rang the job center 0845 number and they are saying i need proof but i dont know how ? i rang my local job center tonight they said just tell your financial advisor, i dont even have one ? Unless thats who i go to to sign on i am confused.
also i am starting a course through connexions 8-3 2 days 12 hours a week. I wont be getting EMA or anything so will i be still able to sign on? it lasts for 9 weeks and is to help me with my CV, look for a job etc.
Also i recieved the letter asking for proof on the 14th january it says i have 7 days from that date which makes it tomorrow now I asked them extend it as i cant get proof they are absolutely help on the phone.
Could anyone help me how i can get this claim sorted as I am so annoyed with it i cant get proof as i asked them they said it is not possible as i was not on the database i asked them if they could just send a letter saying i am not at the training place no more and they said no .. also they want proof i am not getting EMA . how do i go about this? Am i best off contacting the EMA department?
thanks

In regards to the traing provider you'll need them to make you a letter stating confiming that you did not complete the course for the period, if they didn't store on records then it should be simple enough for them to do that.
On the EMA front try the following:
Learner Support helpline
Get in touch with the Learner Support helpline with any questions about:- Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)
Contact point Learner Support helpline Phone number 0800 121 8989 Opening hours 7.00 am to 8.00 pm0
