Hi there, as the title says, I would like to connect my laptop to my tv.
The laptop has a HDMI port, but the tv, a Panasonic plasma, is not HD.
Which cable do I need? (the only ports i can see on the tv are svideo and pc...?
Any help appreciated!

so are you saying I need both a VGA cable and a HDMI one? I'm confused?! :embarasse0 -
OK, lets start again. Your laptop has an HDMI port. Does you TV not have one too? Doesn't matter about being full HD or anything. If so use that, it carries picture and sound.
If not, look for a DVI connection on the TV. You can then connect the HDMI to that, and get the sound seperately from the headphone socket.
Or maybe you've got VGA in the laptop and the TV? Again buy the approprite cables to carry the sound and picture seperately. Let us know what connections you have on your equipment if you need any further help, and Google is very useful if you don't know what the connectors look like....0
