Can't get US Google

Does anyone know how I can connect to Google.com
When I type that in my browser it always changes itself to co.uk which is very annoying
If I wanted co.uk I wouldn't be typing .com
I hate when my computer starts making decisions for me

can anyone advise

Hi
If you're using Firefox you can add Google com to your search engine box.
From here:-http://mycroft.mozdev.org/google-search-plugins.html
I don't know how to do that in other browsers though.

It seems all uk ip addresses get redirected by default im not sure why this happens but you can use the following link to access .com without being redirected

well its done by IP cause your more likely to be searching for something within the UK, no point in looking for a local plumber and getting one who lives in the US

It is possible to just go to Google.com from the link on the Google.co.uk front page.
