This kind of thing causes no end of trouble at garages that sell it. It's not unusual when filling up to find someone complaining they've been overcharged, when in fact they've picked up the wrong pump!
The garages don't help themselves mind. I was at a Shell station near Oxford and the pumps nearest to the shop only sold 'V Power' Diesel, so I had to reverse back to get the ordinary stuff. If I hadn't been paying attention I would have just picked up the black pump and started filling.0 -

Yeah, seems to be many of the pumps only have three nozzles, so they do 'Unleaded', 'Super Unleaded' and one type of diesel.
Still it's better than it was a few years ago where it wasn't unusual for garages onto to have two pumps, some with no diesel at all!0
