Dinner at Manchester Airport?

We're catching a flight on Saturday and staying at the Radisson at Manchester airport on Friday. Are there any reasonably priced options for dinner at the airport or would we be best to head for Manchester? We don't fancy eating in the hotel.

We don't have a car - so need something within walking distance or public transport.

Thanks for any advise.

I don't really know much by the airport, but trains to Piccadilly from the airport are frequent and quite reasonable if you want to eat in the town centre - couple of quid return iirc

by the time you have factored in the cost of train to Piccadily and a city centre meal it won't be a cheap option the centre of MAnchester isn't very cheap to eat..... There are lots of restaurants at Manchester Airport ranging from Burger King upwards.

as recyclingbox has said you might as well stick around the airport instead of messing about getting trains to Piccadilly - there are a couple of restaurants not too far away (TGI Fridays) but again you would have to factor in taxi costs - your best just looking around the airport for the best deal - they have a fab new dining area in Terminal 1 (if thats where you'll be) with a Giraffe restaurant and an airport restaurant that arent too expensive if you choose certain things.

Are these resaurants open to non passengers? We don't fly until Saturday so on Friday we won't be able to go through to passenger areas. Sorry - never flown from Manchester so I don't know the aiport layout.
