Beware British Gas Scrappage Hype Con

I have just had several quotes from various private registered gas fitters for the removal and fitting of a new boiler,TRVs etc with a view to claiming £400 back with the Governments Boiler Scappage Scheme.
I have also had a quote from British Gas(£3140), which was double any of the other lilke for like quotes and when I asked about the £400 British Gas state in their adverts they will match the Goverments grant the advisor stated this not apply to a "SIMPLICITY QUOTE"(whatever that is)
Also I must mention that I made the first appointment for BG to call on 6th Jan 2010 and no one called and no one phoned to advise of any problem.It was only after I had called back and was told I would have to wait another 2 weeks that I complained to Customer Services and got a new appoinment a week later.
