HELP !!! What are we entitled to ?

Ok,
I live with my girlfriend and we currently have a 7 month old baby. My girlfriend is currently receiving Child Tax Credits (CT), Child Benefits (CB), and Maternity Allowance (MA).
I have just been made redundant last week and will be entitled to JSA but is there anything that we will be entitled to ?
We have less than £16k of savings, and have a mortgage on our house.
My girlfriend is also returning to work in a few weeks time, so how will things change ? I will be looking after our little boy while she is at work. I will also be looking into doing a college course part time.
Any info you's can help us with is much appreciated

No you wont be entitled to anything else. Your partner may get working tax credits depending on how meny hours she will be working. You wont get any help towards childcare as the 2 of you need to be working to claim that.
With 1 working also you wont get any help with the mortgage.0 -
Oops sorry forgot to say that my girlfriend is returning to work part time doing 16hrs per week. I will be looking after the baby when she's working. And i'll be at college the other couple of days ?
Wouldn't we be entitled to income support ?
We have mortgage insurance that will take effect after 3 months so thats ok.0 -
Income support is given to those who don't have to sign on. (apart from disabled who now can claim ESA)
If she's doing 16 hours per week, she can claim WTC.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

No you wont get income support as your not sick, disabled, looking after someone who is sick or disabled or a single parent.
Mortgage insurance is for when you are both not working and claiming JSA?
Yes working 16 hours she will be entitled to working tax credit, but unless you are working 16hours too you wont get childcare help0 -
See the Shelter website that gives information to home owners about how to prevent mortgage arrears and what government schemes are available to those who are struggling to pay their mortgage.0
