I presume your claiming CTC ?, or do you have a partner that works ?I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

hello yes i did have a partner but we split up and that is what caused my overpayment i now have to pay back his share of the overpayment . but for my renewals it is just for me i claim for0

We are now owe a couple of thousand in overpayments. Last year we sent in the form with the previous years earnings as you have to or they ask you to pay it back. They sent our award letter saying that they would be paying us even though that was going to put us further in debt. I phoned them to ask them not to make any payments as they were putting us further in debt but they said they had to or we would have undue hardship. I am telling them I dont want the money but they are insisting on putting us in a worse situation. Nuts or what."The darkness has no answers"0

Do your average weekly hours come to over 16hrs (if you have kids) or 30hrs if you dont have kids ?I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. when i do work,16 hours is the maximum but for instance i havent worked for 4 weeks but will have just 4 hrs work next week . i have one child of 5 years and get no other money coming in, just a very patient and generous family0

Are you entitled to claim IS when you are not working? I am sure there should be some support available. Tax credits is a shambles, they still send me letters asking me to claim for this year even though my children are both over 19 and I am not eligible and that's after they overpaid me last year (due to their error).0

i only work these few hours as just this year i havent been able to get any more and the hours i need are not availble to casual workers. i dont think i am intitled to IS i havent checked as now im in a pickle from the tax credit i feel like a criminal and to be honest all these kind of forms baffle me (though i no i filled all my details correctly) i dont understand why they dont have personal meetings where all these things can be discussed and explained in front of your very eyes im sure it would have saved them all this palava , im very hot so im rambling , apoligies0

Why not put the money in a savings account. They when they ask for it back you can just give it back? You might even get some interest on it?0 -

Are you sure this isn't the annual declaration asking you to confirm income for LAST year.0 -
