Hi,
The whole family will be relocating from London to Trafford later in the year. Am looking for primary school for 8 year old son who is currently in a Catholic school. Any comments about the following schools. They were identified based on league tables and conversation with an acquaintance. As everyone knows league table doesn't tell the whole story like happy, caring environment.
Schools:
Heyes Lane Junior School, WA15 6BZ
St. Joseph's R.C. Primary School, M33 3AF
Cloverlea Primary School, WA15 7NQ
St Margaret Ward Catholic Primary School, M33 4GY
Woodheys Primary School, M33 4PG
Oldfield Brow Primary School, WA14 4LE
Thanks.

Is there any way you can pop in and visit a few of these schools ahead of time or will you not be in the area before you relocate?0

Cant comment on the individual schools sorry, but trafford has the best school reputation in the GM area. They still have grammars and consistently get the highest results in the region, hence why the house prices are also more expensive in trafford!!0

I'm not sure if i can post this link http://www.trafford.gov.uk/content/admissions/allschools.asp#primary
It just lists the schools mentioned here, but you can also see if they have a website. I know it's not quite the same as visiting the school but you can get a general feel and overview sometimes from their sites, providing they have one!0 -
Thanks for the replies so far. Will definitely try to visit some of the schools but would have love some input from folks who have children/family members or know of people who are/have been in those schools.
