I have to say that not repaying a credit union (which is funded by pretty hard up people) seems similar to stealing from a charity shop. Though some will no doubt say either is acceptable if you have no food.0

I for one do not believe that anyone should just accept a condition and not challenge it. Many contracts have been successfully challenged and found to be worthless- PPI for example. More power to consumers is what I advocate.
Basically what you are saying is that people who are fully aware of a companies terms and conditions laid out in the agreement and sign it, happily spend the money should then challenge it afterwards because they either dont want to pay it back or dont agree with a condition they initially said they did in order to get the money.
If a person is made fully aware of what will happen if they do not meet the re-payments yet agree to it how can they argue it.?
The answer is simple cant afford a loan dont get a loan.0 -
Many organisations can have debts repaid like this - it's the "Third Party Deductions Scheme". The deduction amount is capped and in return no enforcement action is taken.
This page explains it well.
Mel.Though no-one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending.
