Yes, you could download to a usb stick but it's the update that might cause problems; I think it relies on a 'live' Internet connection.

    Try Safe Mode with Networking

As your computer starts but before Windows launches, keep pressing F8.

Use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode with Networking and then press ENTER.
  • Thank You for your help.

I have managed to download Malwearbytes from laptop and transfered onto main computer and run a full scan ( 5 files etc infected with Trojan) however Im still not able to connect to internet and so not able to update Malwear have tried also using safe mode as above.
I am now running another full scan, and dont really know what else to do. Any help please.

Please download, transfer and run COMBOFIX
    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
    Shut down your anti virus
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be)

If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download

The COMBOFIX.TXT file is on C drive ~ swop it back to the other computer if the net still fails
