c/c on my address

A friend has used my address to relowcate their mail and has applied for a credit card on my address,how will this affect me and my address and what eveidence would they have had to show about my address.

My guess is they will be turned down unless they are also on the electoral roll or have some other history at your address.

If your friend has said they live at your address when they don't, they could be committing a fraud even if they don't mean any ill of it.

It shouldn't affect you - except for a hassle factor if your friend ends up dealing with debt collectors etc. But be alert to what they have said - eg that you are partners, or that the house is owned by your friend etc.

Does you friend have a sensible explanation for wanting to do this?

thanks chatty the friend has moved abroad tempary and their post was directed to my address and i said that was ok ,my ex partner was doing most of this persons paperwork and never informed me that the credit card was on my address,this friend is ok and not in debt at all but i received this application for c/cand it has worried me,he has never been on my e/r at all,,ex partner has since left my property (thats another story)i am just a bit concerned.
