Family day out somewhere between Reading and Manchester

Hi all,

Can anyone help, I have tried posting on Marriage and Families and no response, but I think it might be more suited to this forum.

I am trying to arrange to meet up with really good friends who have moved up to Manchester.

I live in Reading and I am trying to find somewhere suitable for a day out with three toddlers for us to meet up halfway between Reading and Manchester.

Can anyone give any suggestions?

Thanks

Oh, oh, I know try HattonWorld
It's a lovely place. I live in Cheshire (about 20 miles south of Man) and my sis lives in reading, we met there and it was spot on halfway!!!
    I haven't got one!

Have a look at this: http://www.trenthamleisure.co.uk/
The Monkey forest is great - pretty low key but the kids will love it. The garden centre is lovely and there's a great cafe. The walks around the lake are lovely too and we've taken a picnics with us there in the past. It's just off the M6 just south of Stoke.

    Hope you have fun.
