Howdens or Magnet trade

Ive got a price for a Magnet trade, Henley kitchen and two lengths of oak work top for £1300 which seems very good to me, about ten units.
Howdens are also totting up at a little bit more for the Tenby, similar design.
The magnet ones come out to 60cm depth, and the Howdens 57cm.
What about quality, I believe both are rigid and not flat packed.
Which would you choose for quality and longevity.
thank you

As a kitchen designer in my past and working for Magnet many moons ago, my advise is go for the one you like the most. Both should do the job and last as long. The only difference is fitting the kitchens, if i remember right magnets kitchens are 600mm deep so you have to buy the worktops of them as well. so you need 620 worktops however if you need to change them you will be struggling to find worktops of this depth. Units that are 570mm are standard thought the industry so finding 600mm worktops should never be a problem.0

I agree with Loganfire. I run a Maqintenance Company and have used both products. They are equally as well built with a wide range of accessories. If you want the Howdens one, see if they will move on price. If they want the sale, they are bound to be reasonable in their approach, especially if you tell them you are thinking of going for the Magnet one.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Howdens will beat the Magnet price im sure, im just having a Howdens kitchen put in now should be finished and its excellent quality, i got an extra £300 off the price and upgraded to soft close doors and upstands on the worktops, i just took in a Homebase quote even tho the Homebase one was MDF doors and the Howdens ones were solid oak framed ones they gave me a better price0

Hi I have the Henley kitchen that I got through Travis Perkins, I have ordered from Howdens several times and end panels and units were damaged even though they were wrapped. My kitchen was really cheap and looks the part I had a good fitter which makes all the difference as you know.0

Do you or any of your family/friends work for the local council? They may give discount if you can provide pay slips for the past few months.0
