If the money is due to go into a different account automatically at maturity, what might have happened is the money and interest will have been transferred, but the interest that was credited might have disappeared for a day, so you'll be negative by the amount of the interest.

It happened to me when I transferred my entire balance from a regular saver to a different account. The next day the interest that had been credited the day before wasn't showing any more, and the account said it was negative.

I wouldn't worry just yet. I don't think I've explained to too well though.

Presumably you have the passbook for the Save4It accounts? This is where the money will have gone, just take the book into any branch and they'll be able to print the transfer in the book.
