 can anybody help we have been trying to claim on legal policy attached to our norwich union building insurance for 2 claim medical negligence & personal injury
capita who are owned by brittania have eventually let me choose my own solicitor after we were both given their panel solicitors
my partnerer also wants to change as we feel their is a conflict of interests & find their choice useless
has anybody else had trouble with capita, norwich union are saying its nothing to do with them
secondly does anybody know of a honest firm of solicitors for personal injury that actually fight for the interests of their client & not just take the money for looking at the claim.
thirdly as we want nothing to do with either of these firms in the furture does anybody know of any good insurance companies not linked or owned by them,
& will these 2 claims on our legal insurance put up our buildings insurance when we take out a new policy ?

Normally legal expenses claims do not count as a claim against your home insurance but this is down to the terms and conditions.
To be honest on the solicitor front, it really does come down to individual solicitors much more than which firm of solicitors it is... a growing number of fast track (which are your common to mid value injuries) cases are now dealt with on a fixed fee scheme so no matter how much or little effort the sols put in they get exactly the same amount of money if they get liability in their favour. The old days of solictors hounding the defendant because they got £100 per letter they set are growing increasingly rare. All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
