Scenic alarm question

I have a 2003 Scenic with an alarm that sets when I lock the car. There are no levers, buttons to lock the doors from the inside. There is an electric switch which locks all the doors but they all unlock when I open any door. The passengers door has an external key lock but none of the other doors do.
So when I go on a ferry they insist I lock the car WITHOUT setting the alarm.
I have tried lots of ways but cannot achieve this.

Lean in thru a back door and press the "door lock" button on the dash. This will lock the car, but wont set the alarm.0

In the mk1 one the override button was hidden in the boot area. behind a the boot light if memoery serves me right not sure if they've moved it.0

Thanks for replies, tried the back door trick but that leaves the door unlocked, cannot find any override switch by the boot light. Any more ideas?0

Give your local Renault dealership ring. i take it you haven't got the hand book. Is it the facelift one you've got or the mk2?0

Thanks again, it is one of the last Mk1 models. I have the manuals but in the 120 page alarm manual nothing tells me how to disable the alarm when locking the car!!
Am in France for a while so may go to the local dealer, but a friends similar car bought here does not have the alarm so it may be fitted in UK only.0 -
I'll be honest I'd just lock the car as I usually do and forget about it - realistically what else can you do in that situation?
The staff on the ferry aren't monitoring everyone getting out of their cars - the guideline is probably just there because they don't want car alarms going off during the voyage but in reality I'd wager that very few people take any notice and lock their cars any differently than they do.
