Sorry this is going to be a long post, but I really dont know what I can do....
My husband is in the army and my son is now 4, no problems for the last 3 yrs just claiming for the basic and getting around 40 pounds per month. In Jan 08 we moved to Germany,(bfpo address but still classed as UK resident) still no change Im working and still claiming basic amount. Child care changes and they up amount all going well - UNTIL July 09.
I recieve a letter asking for extra details, it says info can be given over the phone so I call and give all info required. August I see I recieve no payment into my bank account, so I call. They inform me I told them I live in Spain and dont not work and therefore are not entitled to anything! I give the correct info and have to wait till Im investigated!!
After calling every week - being told no updates to report, I finally get told in Sept 09 my case is closed. I can appeal or submit new forms. Advised to submit new forms as appeal can go on and on... So new forms filled in and recieved in UK office on 19th Oct 2009.
So Ive rung them every week since then and all they say is we have sent it to head office/ complex case team, but no updates as yet.
On 11th Jan 10 I spoke to a team leader and filed a complaint, rang today and again told no updates!
Does anyone know what else I can possibly do, as Im now pregnant and this will make things even more complicated!! My husband has also complained in writing.
Thanks for reading!

I think if you are now living abroad you can't claim tax credits0

Sorry, its not clear from your post what the problem is (apart from non-payment).
 Can you answer the following?
 1) When you moved to Germany, you were still working? How? How many hours and what was the wage?
 2) Any savings as a couple?
 3) Husband earnings?

Who actually said this? Whoever told you this is talking a load of crap - your claim is actually worked in more detail as you are abroad meaning it takes more time.
The complex case teams have a lot of work they need to do for each claim and have a massive amount of claims to deal with so it is expected to take longer - you are not forgotten.0
