Patio
Hello
I would like to extend my patio so I have a bit more space for a table and pots, and can't decide between getting someone in to do it and doing it myself, anyone got any tips for doing it myself. My garden is clay soil and slightly sloping (uphill)!
Thanks

How handy are you? I think if you're asking for advice on how to do it you're probably better off getting someone in. Jobs like that are hard to do well first time round without experienced help.0

Agreed. No magic bullet. Be prepared to read-up and/or watch some DIY videos to see what's entailed.
As you read/watch, imagine that everything will be a little more difficult for a novice than they suggest. Ask yourself what tools you'll need to buy, how you will obtain the materials and dispose of the subsoil you dig out. That's not to put you off, just being practical.
Then, even if you decide to get someone in, you'll have a better idea about what they ought to be quoting for & doing.
Would this be better in the DIY forum?0
