When we got married..engaged in May married in August. Marquee in the garden. And we really had no choice about anything (all booked up) so we took what we could get it was great.
When you say other things have been booked surely they are not fussed whether it is at place A or Place B?0 -
I don't think it would matter regarding location of venue.
My brothers live within a few miles of original hotel and it wouldn't make much difference in that respect.

Thoroughly recommend a marquee - although check with the Registrars are able to change the venue easily.
We were married at a lovely country house but had a Hog roast in a marquee the following day. Probably had more fun at the Hog roast!0 -
