Top Cashback - Switched to EDF no transactions, no earnings

Hope this is the correct forum, could not see a forum for cashback sites.

I switched from Scottish Power to EDF via the EnergyHelpline search website to take advantage of the £30 cashback for switching gas and electricity. I clicked on the link on 26/8/2009 and the switch date to EDF was 15/09/2009 and have been with them since then.

I logged into my account at Top Cashback and I have no earnings, no transactions and no payment. When I try and submit an Missing Claim enquiry it will not accept the date of 26/8/2009 stating that must be within 100 days.

There doesn't seem to be any contact telephone numbers on the Top Cashback web site.

I should have checked earlier I guess. Do I just give up? Anyone else had this problem.

Cheers for any advice.

Tracey

Did you clear the cookies immediately before switching? Did you check the transaction had at least tracked at the time?

Well just submit a missing cashback claim enquiry and hope for the best, if its over 100 days old you need to email them first to have them waive the 100 day limit before you can submit the missing claim....

(Note for future changes that you could have received £60 to £80 if you had switched direct from Topcashback instead of Energyhelpline. Energyhelplne should usually only be used for comparisons - always check direct cashback rates first - also less likely to cause the problem of a chain of competing cookies.)

Energyhelpline cashback for duel fuel switch to EON took over 3 months to appear in my current account. Clicked on "switch" on website 17th August, switch effective 24th Sept - money rec'd 15th Dec.
Are you sure the money hasn't gone direct to your bank.??

just to let you know there must be a problem with EDF tracking on cashback websites,as there has been a lot of EDF transactions not tracking on quidco to.
  • I have got a bit further, TopCashBack have confirmed the "click" submission and date to EDF and waived the 100 day limit to submit a missing commission claim, but I find their website incredibly difficult to use. I could not see a way to respond to their reponse to my first enquiry so had to close the enquiry and start a new one. Now, when completing the missing commission claim there is a field to input the amount "spent" for the dual fuel switch. Do you think this is the annual total on gas and electric per annum or monthly direct debit amount?

    The whole process is tortuous!

If you switched via EnergyHelpline, then it is they you should be chasing for the £30, not topcashback!
