Mobile number ?

Hi I am getting silly texts and calls from a mobile phone number I tried to call back they won't answer, how could I find out who owns this number?

If they are just a minor nuisance, I don't think there is anything you can do to find out - not least because if it were easy to do, the facility would get abused.

If they are intimidating or offensive you can report them to the police, who should have no trouble in identifying the sender. However, you will probably find it very difficult to get them to take an interest unless it's a serious problem.

You may find that it helps to send a text to the sender advising them that you will be reporting a case of harassment to the Police if they text or call your number again,

it may be that someone got a number on a night out, but made a mistake entering the number, thinks he/she is contacting the person he/she spoke to on the night, then when gets a call/text from you doesn't recognise the number, so doesn't answer.

There is nothing you can do, i tried to get a number blocked once before and i was basically told that as they are phoning me i must have given them my number

text them anonymously that they've won a competition all they have to do is supply name & address to an email address you can set up for the purpose (can set your mobile to hide its ID for this)
