Estate agents in Nottingham? Plus general advise needed

Options
Hello everyone!
I was just looking for some advise on which estate agent to go for in Nottingham. Does anyone have experience of the following: Frank Innes, Reeds Rains or FHP City Living?

Our house is a modern three bed terrace and would imagine that it would be mostly young couples viewing our place. Does anyone know if most sales come from rights move etc or whether contact from the estate agent is more influential?

I find it difficult to tell whether the estate agents are being truthful!

Oh one last thing - we're looking to sell in June (cannot move before) - we've been advised by estate agents to put the property on the market now. Is it too early or does 5 months sound about right?

Thanks in advance!

Sarah

    Hi,
Where abouts in Notts are you?

Having recently sold and bought in Nottingham, I can offer my opinion based on my experience. Do not use Halifax Estate agents, I went in to a branch having accepted an offer on our house (therefore preceedable) and was totally blanked, not even a 'hello'. Disgusting. Do not use Haart, they are too too pushy - to the point of rudeness. Frank Innes has a better reputation, and I have no experience of the other 2 you mentioned. I found Bairstow Eves to be the most professional and were worth their weight in gold.

Realistically, from marketing you house to completion of sale will probably be 4-6 months plus, and THAT's if you find a buyer fairly soon.

    Good luck!
I love giving home made gifts, which one of my children would you like? :D :A :D
  • Visit them all and talk to them about what your plans are and see if you can get a feel for them from the way they treat you. Then, take a stroll around your neighbourhood, spot the EA boards for properties for sale and recently sold and ask the occupants for their opinions. That's what I do in any case if I didn't have a personal recommendation

The phrase 'city living' screams city centre luxury apartment at me, not three bedroom terrace.
