buyer getting shirty..am i at fault?

I sold a football shirt, which i know has only been worn 4-5 times,in good condition for 2.99 plus postage..i sold it and sent it, BUT apparantly it has a cigarette burn on it under the "a" of "vodafone".I looked at my photo and i cant see anything and dont recall anything.
Still i said i believe him,and to send it back..but he is saying i should refund his return postage as well,as i deliberately misled him by omission of facts!
i have replied politely saying his money is waiting for refund,as soon as i get it back..i have 100% feedback but couldnt really give a damn about that..if we proceed to a claim, do i have to refund return postage because he said i deliberatly omitted this info,..i didnt honestly see anything!

ask him to send you a pic, compare it to the listing one, he could be sending you his old shirt back!
i would refund anything till i got the shirt back

if he opens a paypal claim he will have to pay to post back and only get what he paid originally

That is exactly what i thought...let him go to ebay and report me,i really cant be bothered by FB!!
I know he has bought a lot of football shirts lately, this one was from 2001 man utd season,so its not worth much!!

i cant see a burn mark

i would ask for a picture, then let him open a claim with paypal and they will tell him to return at his cost tracked!

Or you could just email and ask him for a pic and then say please return and i will refund you on receipt the item cost and original postage (which is all he will get from paypal!)

Just have done..his emails are very stroppy from the outset..but i am purposely being polite in reply. He is saying i have commited criminal offence according to ebay!!
it is a genuine mistake if it is burnt, but i dont think it is..hubby does smoke though, but has only worn it 4 ish times coz its too big! will wait and see!
