Just had an e mail from First Scotrail, saving 30% Off-Peak daytime travelTerms and Conditions

Each Firstinsight online newsletter customer is entitled to purchase up to two discounted Off-Peak Return, Super Off-Peak Return and Off-Peak Day Return tickets for travel anywhere in Scotland. Each ticket purchased will offer a 30% discount.

Offer is valid for travel from now until 12 March 2010, all outward travel must be completed by 12 March. Return travel is valid up to one month from date of outward travel. All Off-Peak Day Return travel must be completed on the same day.

Off-Peak, Super Off-Peak and Off-Peak Day Return tickets can be used off peak only and travel restrictions apply Monday to Friday. There are no travel restrictions at the weekend. Super Off-Peak tickets cannot be used on a Friday. Please enquire about specific restrictions when booking.

Travel is valid on ScotRail, First TransPennine Express, Arriva Cross Country, National Express East Coast and Virgin Trains services within Scotland (excluding travel on the Caledonian Sleeper).

A full refund less a £10 administration fee is permitted on tickets submitted for refund before the outward date of travel.

Change of travel plans are permitted subject to a £10 administration fee.

There are no further discounts for children or Railcard holders. Tickets are valid for Standard Class only. Upgrades to First Class, including Weekend First, are not permitted.

ScotRail reserve the right to amend or withdraw this offer at any time.

As a train conductor, I really should remind folks that this offer will not be available on train (since we haven't been told about it). So don't jump on train and demand a fancy discounted ticket, since we won't have a clue what you're on about
