You need to break down your bill and say what you are actually being charged for.
Which tariff (past and present)?
How much for line rental?
How much for call package?
If you are on standard line rental and Unlimited Anytime calls then the maximum you can be charged is £11.54 line rental and £4.99 calls, i.e. £16.53pm, or £49.59 per quarter.
So I don't understand how your bill can 'normally' be £80 per qtr, let alone £120. You must have other chargeable services or be making a large no. of exclusive calls, eg. mobiles, overseas, premium nos?
I have Call Minder, Call Sign and Caller Display on this line.
This is a separate line I use exclusively for working from home (when I do, which is two or three days a week) which is why it is never used for evening and weekend calls. It's also why I have the other services.
No 'exclusive calls, eg. mobiles, overseas, premium nos' etc., all calls UK, all during the day. The itemised ones are all as usual, so no change in calling patterns at all.
My line rental and services used to come to just under £50, my call charges are pretty stable at around £30 per querter - so around £80 per quarter, give or take.
The 'realignment' bill was last quarter (and was also huge - even higher at over £133 !), but I expected this quarter to go back to more like normal billing, so I was not expecting another bill of £120.0 -
So is this line on a business or a residential tariff?
Assuming residential, if no exclusive calls are made, and you are on Unltd Anytime, how can your call charges be £30 a qtr? The tariff is £4.99 a month.
You haven't explained where the extra £40 per qtr is being charged, so can't really advise further. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Why not give a breakdown of your bill to us. Line Rental, Call charges etc. You don't need to give us each call, just the total for each section.0

Hi BlondeHeadOn,
I can take a look at your bill if you like, to make sure that the charges raised are correct. Please could you drop me an email with your BT account details? Please also include your forum username along with a link to this thread. My email address can be found by clicking on my profile. Once I have received those details, I would be more than happy to give you a call to discuss this bill with you further.
Thanks
