Just in the door there, recieved a big thick letter. Opened up and it was the FOS.
"I am pleased to let you know, following our involvment, Lloyds TSB has now agreed to make an offer to settle your complaint in line with the approach that we take when we decide that a consumer has been mis-sold a PPI policy"
I've to sign a document and send back ASAP. There is no figures though, does this mean Lloyds TSB dont have to offer me the full amount if I sign for this?
thanks for any help

Hi, when I got mine from FOS with my win there were no figures but I telephoned the adjudicator and asked if this would put me back into the postion as if I never had any PPI and he replied by email that it would (so I had proof) and then we signed the forms. I am sure it will be the same for you as it states "in line with misselling".Just in the door there, recieved a big thick letter. Opened up and it was the FOS.

What sort of timescale did the FOS take to answer youre complaint?

It was quick cause the bank had made a goodwill gesture so FOS had to tell me about it if that is what you mean. I had another complaint in though for over 13 months before being assigned an adjudicator. If you mean how long did the adjudictor take to get back to us from me asking about the redress and whether it would put us back into the postion as if we never had the PPI then that was immediate as my bank were wanting to settle.Diddles1978 wrote: »What sort of timescale did the FOS take to answer youre complaint?

For my case, I applied to FOS around the end of June / beginning of July. So approx 6 months from applying to FOS and getting a result. Don't know how long it will take to recieve my payment though.0
