BHX to Malaga April 07

Hi in Sept 05 i was looking at booking flights from bhx to malaga and the prices were quite reasonable at about 80 quid each. However i got a package deal that was better value.
I am looking at going again this april possibly the 2nd april to the 12th april. The prices quoted on Monarch are ridiculous. It will cost well over a grand for flights alone.
Does anyone think these prices will come down again in sept or does anyone know if any cheaper airlines that do this flight.
Or does anyone know what airlines have cheap flights to anywhere released now.
Please help
