When I right clic on a file and scroll to SEND TO and select MAIL RECIPIENT, get a Microsoft Office Word email page which I don't want as I use Yahoo, how can this me changed?.

So what's wrong with MOW ? I hear you ask. To experiment I entered my own email address in the SEND section, but despite hovering over every symbol, I can't get it to do anything.

If I guess you use firefox I think tools/options/applications/mailto select yahoo mail from drop down

Ah, I thought we'd cracked it there, but after highlighting yahoo mail, went to a file, right clicked and still the windows office outlook came up, so retraced my footsteps and noticed that windows mail is set to default. Hence why it didn't change (me thinks)

Control Panel Internet Options .. Programs..Intenet Programs...Associate File Type/ or Protocol ... mailto is near the bottom

I think that despite your help, it's time to call it a day. I've been trough the last set of instructions and now when I clic on MAIL RECIPIENT then ATTACH instead of the windows mail page, I'm presented with YOUR NAME ie display name then it moves on to ask my email address then POP 3/ incoming/outgoing questions that I don't know the answer to. Rather than delve into uncharted waters and make big mistakes, I'll admit defeat and leave well alone, thanks anyway.

found this, so maybe that is your problem,

Yahoo! as Default Email: Does Not Work under Windows Vista

Unfortunately, Yahoo! Mail as your default email program may be hard-wired to use Internet Explorer instead of your default browser, and it does not work in Windows Vista.

Hmmmm Stumped but you could use Thunderbird for send to option ... just a thought(probably wont have any more today)
