Hi guys,
I'm having a weird issue and wondered if anyone else has seen or fixed it.
I'm running Windows 7 with latest Internet Explorer and for some reason, I'm not able to use the Thanks button on this forum. I can post, but once I've submitted the post, I can't edit it so have to start a new one if I have something to add (Plus I can't correct spelling mistakes etc.)
If I thank someone, then th Thanks button disappears as you would expext, but so does the line that details who else has thanked. If I refresh the page, I have to log back in again. I know it's not a time-out issue as I can log in specifically to thanks someone and refreshing the page immediately will log me out again.
Anyone know how to fix this? It all works fine on my Vista laptop.
Thanks in advance..

Same problem with a different browser? Firefox?0

Haven't tried, I only use IE and have no interest in using anything else.
I'll install one to see what happens though, and report back..The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.

Well, the Thanks button os working under Firefox. I'll just post this then I'll try editing it...
ETA: Yep, Edit seems to be working too. Now I just have to figure out why it won't work in IE.
Any suggestions? The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.

Any particular reason you want to stick with IE? Browsing with Firefox is far safer, especially with the brilliant NoScript add-on:cool:Well, the Thanks button os working under Firefox. I'll just post this then I'll try editing it...

I'm used to it and I like it. There are some nice features that I use a lot. Plus I don't really see the point of running an extra browser when I already have one. It's a bit like installing a second engine in my car. What's the point when I already have one that works fine? (except for this issue I'm having now)Any particular reason you want to stick with IE? In terms of security, I've never had any issues with security in all the time I've been using IE.
I used to use Firefox before IE got a lot better, and I used to regularly get quite frustrated with it as I'd often find web sites that just wouldn't work properly in anything but IE.The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.

Could you perhaps try updating IE to version 8.

Looks like it's fixed :T
I gave up on further troubleshooting and reset IE to default and it all seems fine again now. Must've been one of my addons or something.
Well, I think I'll keep FF installed for now in case I manage to replicate the issue. I may even install Chrome in case I ever actually find a valid reason to use Google Wave
Thanks Busenbust!
ETA: Edit works too. Yay!The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.
