igo4 are a web based broker. More specificaly, they "specialise" in pile em high though price comparison websites business. The directors used to work for BGL group, who own budget, which operates a similar model. If you present a fairly standard risk - nothing special in the form of valuables etc - they are probably fine.
Their services are fulfuled by BDML, who are owned by a company called Capita. BDML are fine, but are a fairly standard call centre operation, albeit based in the UK. Their standards of service provided by their staff can be quite patchy - they are typicaly lowly paid and trained. Be sure to put anything in writing and chase it up on the phone - for example sending proof of NCD. Take names, times, dates etc if you call.
You should check the level of standard and voluntary excesses applicable and that you are comfortable with any cancelation charges or charges for a policy adjustment that might be applicable - particulalry if there is the slightest chance you might need to make a change to the policy. The excesses and charges for this kind of broker can be higher than "typical".

Who is the insurer and what is the policy they have quoted for you? The details will be on the first or second page you click though to from a price comparison website. The insurer and policy is what you need to check regarding your cover/what you can expect claims service wise0 -
Their choice of words on their website are amusing, my favourites so far are
"All of the cover you would expect from our market standard offering" Yes indeed their "offerings" are nothing special. Allegedly they may branch out into "Internet Providings" in a (Fone Jacker styleee)

Bungrefurb my post was tongue in cheek although if they are ex Budget they probably have a similar business model which as dogbot has pointed out means largish fees when you make any adjustments.
I like Legal and General but they are not always the cheapest
Avoid any mma policies0 -

MMA are an insurer. They offer policies though brokers, including igo4. There is nothing wrong with igo4, you just need take care, as with anyone else, that the whole policy is suitible for your needs and wants. Personaly, I would also avoid AXA and Aviva, who both have a bad reputation for customer service.0

I actually work in that so called patchy IGO4 insurance centre mentioned earlier by dogbot
I would like to let you know that our level of service is a high, and we we are not typically underpaid for a call centre. And any training it always up-to-date.
Just wanted to point that out , thanks0 -

Though your grammar is pretty bad.
Anyway, anyone know who owns these guys?0 -
Great value insurance and an honest business - I dont often go on these forums as mostly full of people moaning, but wanted to say that I have held a policy with igo4 for 3 years and has always been very upfront about price and what is covered and did a good job when I had flooding in my kitchen recently which is why we buy insurance in the first place???0

Is Stephen an employee paid to scour forums and post positive remarks to make them seem less of a risk?
Maybe they should pay him to sort customers complaints out instead?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
