Points on licence about to expire

My photocard licence is due to expire in June. However I'm about to get points added for a speeding offence (first ever).

Is there a fee to pay to get points added as I need a new licence?

Should I state that I've 'lost' my licence, then renew it with the points? Or just send my current one.

Sorry, not clued up on what happens when points are added.

If memory serves, there is no charge for putting points on (but there is to get them taken off).

Putting the points on your licence involves the constabulary concerned using their "best" hand writting and a biro... and you pay the fixed penalty amount for the privilage of course.

The only way to get them off must be for a new piece of paper to be sent to you so I can see admin. fees being involved

    Frankly I don't think I'll bother.

Your current licence will have the points hand written on and your new licence will come with them printed nicely on in june.
  • If you move house after your points expire, you can do a change of address for your current licence (which is free of charge) and when it comes back, it won't have any points on it either.

    Job's a goodun :)
