Does anyone know out of interest, how much it costs the OR to sell your car?

Hi dojoman,
I would presume on how its disposed off and its value.
If it was auctioned it would be transport fees for collection, storage and then commision on the auction to cover.
That probs why easier for them to sell BI to friend or familly, less red tape.

I think your probably looking at about £2-300. If they scrap a car they have a company that does that for freeHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

They valued our car at £3500, but we had to find £1000 to keep it. So they had immediately knocked off £500! But I presume this is up to the OR. Hope that helps a bit. It's really stressful all the waiting and not knowing hope you soon find out.

£250 + auction costs, but that's nearly 2 years ago now.0

Hello,
I'm interested in what you said here as my car is worth 2000-3000 on Parkers Guide, please could you explain the figures to me, if your car was worth 3500, you paid 1000, they knocked off 500, where did the other 2000 go?
Many thanks.BR 10/12/20090 -

You are usually allowed £2000 from the sale of your car to buy another one.:pB&SC No. 298
