hi guys, i want to sign up to a company that wants my credit card for verifycation but will not charge my card, is there a way of signing up but contacting the credit card company to stop money going out before i sign up, just to be safe

Don't think so, but you'd need to phone your card company to check.
There's nothing stopping the company you're talking about holding onto your details and using them next week for a fraudulent transaction.
If you don't trust the company with the details then don't give them out.
If you mention the company name, others may be able to confirm if they're trustworthy or not. I reckon most people are already assuming they're involved in the adult entertainment business
