02 money card for expenses

I'm thinking about using an 02 money card for my monthly work expenses. Having put a float on the card I can then use it for fuel, entertaining, tube fares etc. Float would be about £300.
Having had credit cards before I know I can't be trusted, I have a barclaycard at the moment with a £1k limit. I would keep that as a backup in the event that I needed to book a flight or have a larger work expense.
Does this sound like a good idea ?

Sounds like a good idea to me.
If you can get the O2 money card (you need to be an O2 mobile customer - pay monthly or pay as you go), it's the cheapest prepaid card - no fees for anything except foreign transactions.
It's also a Visa card, so you get Visa chargeback protection (purchases from £1 to £100 I think - but worth checking), and it's a proper Visa debit (not an electron) so you won't have any problems of who will accept it.0 -
If you don't mind paying the pre-paid card fees......
Have you considered using a secondary current account with a debit card for your company expenses?0 -

What fees ? 02 seems to be completely free, visa card so used for fuel, entertaining and travel. I rarely travel internationally so don't see a problem.0
