Leaving Fitness First

Ok have been with them more than 12 months (18+ I reckon) but following moving house the only gym in the area is more effort to get to after a long day so I'm going to leave I think I have to...

1 - Tell them and have an "interview" and sign a form to say I'm leaving or;
2 - Write to the manager and tell him I'm leaving

Then the membership ends at the end of the calendar month thereafter

Is this the case?

If so I'd better get a move on to avoid paying too many more wasted months!

    What does it say in your contract about giving notice - I would have thought that would be more accurate than any advice on here as to what you need to do. However, having seen other threads about leaving a gym, it seems that a record of what you have done is vital, so if you have an interview, ask the person involved to sign something to that effect, keep copies of everything you submit and send any letters by recorded delivery.
