Barclays now adding interest

Hi,

I found out about a number of credit cards that my wife had run up around 18 months ago, I spoke to all parties then asking for all accounts to be frozen so no more interest was added & I setup regular payments on all, they all agreed as long as payments were made on a monthly basis. I have now just found out one of the Barclays accounts has added interest to the account probably from the beginning. I have wrote them a letter about this but I've had no response. All the other accounts including other Barclays accounts have the account still frozen?
My question is can I send this complaint to the FO to assess or what else can I do, I have said in the letter to Barclays I don't intend paying any of the interest since the account was frozen.

Do you have confirmation in writing that it was frozen?

Unfortunately its not in writing although they will have it recorded during the phone call. This account is currently with a debt collection agency who I have been paying monthly as with the other accounts, when the payments were setup with the help of the Citizens Advice Bureau I remember them saying that all companies should normally freeze the accounts of interest otherwise no one would be able to pay off the debt.
Like I mentioned earlier, all the other Barclays accounts are still frozen so I am hoping it is just an oversight on this account even if I've not heard anything.
I'll probably write Barclays another letter (recorded delivery) and then try the Financial Ombudsmen to see if they will look into it for me!

Has the account actually defaulted yet? Has she been served with a notice of default on this account? Was the agreement to freeze interest made with you, or simply the CAB telling you that's what they'll do?

Yes all the acounts were in default by the time I found out about them, she had been served notice on all of them. I got the CAB involved to help ring round and freeze all the accounts then send financial statements to them all. I remember ringing this account myself and know for a fact that I asked for the account to be frozen so monthly payments could pay off the debt.
All the companies agreed to freeze the account as long as payments were made, these accounts are now longer used and all cards have been long since destroyed.
